We have been using Mars services for over two years now and they have provided us with quality services in both our HVAC and plumbing needs. After having gone through two conventional tank water heaters in less than 20 years in our new house we converted to a “tankless” heater. We had it installed by a plumber we knew with no problems, however, when it soon had an issue he could not correct. We had Mars come in and they contacted the manufacturer’s engineers and discovered it had a faulty gas valve (which was quickly sent with no charge), and had it replaced and working properly again. They also did a great job installing our new Duncan furnace this winter (2023). We have also had them replace kitchen and bath Delta fixtures in our home after they also made all the contacts and placed the orders with the Delta manufacturers in order to have them send the replacements according to their “free lifetime replacement” policy. Having made many calls to their office over these past two years the ladies in their office have always been wonderful to talk to and made arrangements to get service to us for all our needs as quickly as possible. I would highly recommend their company for any HVAC or plumbing needs.

Yes, you will need maintenance on your bathroom plumbing every 18 months to two years, or whenever an issue arises with your bathroom’s plumbing. Performing routine maintenance on your bathroom plumbing will help prevent unnecessary repairs in the future.
You will need a plumber to clear a clogged drain if you are unable to get it unclogged yourself using a DIY method. A certified plumber has knowledge and access to tools and resources that most people do not have that can be very helpful in clearing a clogged drain.
What you should do if roots are clogging your sewer drains is have a certified plumber run an inspection of the drains to find the roots clogging your sewer drains and eliminate the problem.
One of the biggest indicators that your pipes are likely frozen is a total lack of water flowing from any of your faucets, toilets, fixtures, showers, tubs, etc. When this happens, it usually means that the water has frozen solid in your supply pipes. If you notice minimal water coming from your plumbing fixtures while in the dead of winter, you most likely have a partial freeze, which is still extremely dangerous and needs to be dealt with by professionals at Mars Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Sewer & Septic right away.
A major red flag when it comes to frozen pipes is if you notice spots or signs of water damage around your home. This could indicate that one of your pipes has already actually burst and is leaking in your home. Water damage is a red flag for imminent danger and inevitable flooding from a burst pipe in the very near future, and needs to be addressed by Mars Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Sewer & Septic immediately.
If your home has exposed pipes in any area of the property, always keep an eye on them during the Collinsville, IL winter season. Through a visual inspection, you should be able to see if there is any frost that is building up on your water supply lines. If you do see frost building up on your pipes, you need to have Mars Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Sewer & Septic address the issue as soon as possible before the pipes end up bursting and totally damaging your home.
Have you noticed an unfamiliar, foul odor coming from your drains? This could very well be due to blockages in your plumbing system from frozen water in your pipes. In the event you notice foreign odors coming from even just one of your drains while it is cold outside, you should call Mars Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Sewer & Septic to have your pipes looked at.
